So far it has worked well on my hair. I have thicker, tangled/frizzy hair that is much tighter towards the back of my head, but it still glides through my hair well after a few passes. It heats up fairly quickly so you can touch up your hair in a pinch and I would suggest using a heat protectant hairspray for the extra safety of your hair strands. I start at the ends of my hair and work my way up, making longer strokes from roots to ends. I don't burn myself compared to using hot air brushes or traditional curling irons, a MAJOR upgrade that I'm sure many curly hair users will appreciate.
