I bought the exact same product a year ago. I immediately bent my legs to attach it around the pole to hold my phone while filming my art videos. The good news is that it was strong enough to hold my phone and worked well with "wrapping" around the stem. Unfortunately, when I tried to straighten it again, it didn't recover from the bend. So I kept using it in positions where I could wrap it around the top bar or side post. Fast forward a year later and I really need a small tripod that just STANDS on my desk and points straight at me. Drawings. I decide to order this one again - and NOT bend it at all. Tip: It works great both ways. If you want it to be completely straight again, don't bend it, especially if you want it to be completely straight and completely flat. Now I have two and use both for different purposes. It is durable and easily holds my iPhone 11.
