Bought this router and other N-type wireless accessories in 2008 and decided to share my feedback. I was excited about the range and speed claims of wireless N networks, it was enticing enough. However, after setting it up and using it, it turned out that normal obstacles like walls, etc. severely affect the range. The average speed is around 180 Mbps, which is excellent compared to the old 54 Mbps that Linksys routers had. Communication is usually constant, with small losses, of course, distance is also of great importance. The only real problem with this router was the connection to the storage. I never found out, and the Linksys user guides and online setup screens are difficult to maneuver. You're almost afraid to tweak a lot because you don't want to overwhelm or change firewalls and built-in security features. I've left it alone well enough and just used the router as my central hub for everything else, which it does very well. I also purchased the Linksys n-Family wireless network adapters, which work great. This device is backwards compatible with g/b wireless devices such as wireless printers etc. I gave this router a 4 out of 5 rating based on the memory channel issue described.
