These beads were exactly what I wanted. until I tried to use it. I bought these for a preschooler to use in beadwork and the bead size and larger hole made them perfect. The only problem is that the holes don't seem to be ground at all. There are tiny shards all the way from one end to the other. We used beaded laces and they are strong enough to withstand the nicks on the inside, but if you tried to use ribbon or something softer or thinner than the laces they would snag and break. I ended up cleaning the inside of some beads with a screwdriver which made them a bit smoother but the beads still don't slip on the string despite being big enough. I would return them but they are the only beads of this size with a large hole that I have been able to find. I think next time I'll take the simple ones and paint them myself.
