Review on Enhanced Rio Plus 800 PT Venturi Water Pump: Efficient Performance for Optimal Water Circulation by Tina Coleman

I bought this pump for $22.43. Failed. I bought it in April 2016 and installed it in a 29 gallon Biocube reef rig in May. I built my own protein skimmer out of the back inlet of a tank and this pump fitted perfectly. The pump submerged in the water at the end of May, but didn't turn on at full power until the end of June (because I rode the tank on my bike). As a result, the pump only runs 24 hours a day for 3 months. While he was working it was great. The bubbles were very small and I was able to catch a few ounces of Dark Magermatt daily with a bioburden of five small fish. In that time I've only lost one fish. I bought two and one died the same night I put them in the aquarium (my local fish shop got them that morning). I came back and he gave me another one from the same group and I have a few more. All five fish are healthy and thriving. Too much information? .I'm just trying to illustrate that the skimmer does a great job as long as the pump is running. slip on another pump or order another 800 PT. I took the easy route and ordered another pump; with the hope that the first one was just a bad apple. So the new pump should be in place within a few days. If that doesn't work either, I'll update my review. Hope this helps someone.
