I have needed replacement bulbs for my 27 inch lava lamp and I have to say that I am mostly pleased with the results I am seeing so far. This bulb is the same wattage but has a slightly shorter neck than the bulb that was originally in the box. This makes my lamp seem to heat up/move a bit slower than the original lamp. Not a big difference and I actually like the effect a bit better than the original lamp. It is likely that over time the lifespan of the product will also increase. I would recommend it because it definitely works, but if you're looking for an exact replica of the original lamp you might try to find a lamp with a longer neck.
