Halco 100WR20FL 125V

We really like them, they are just what we need for our lava lamps. We are very difficult to find in local stores. Thank you!

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Appearance

Long service life and best quality.

I usually finish them in a very short time as I use them in the Grande Lava Lamp. So I bought these 10 packs and they are of much better quality. They have a brass base and the first lamp stays lit even after long use. A very good deal.

Pros
  • A Sea of Positive Emotions
Cons
  • Upgrade Availability

Rating Lava Lamps on Bulbs

Specially for large lava lamps, do you want the original bulb or this one? These bulbs work well, but the behavior of the lava lamp is different. This bulb results in fairly constant larger droplets. The original lamp usually had a phase containing lava columns and generally smaller droplets. All in all I prefer the original and am willing to pay for it. Although they are certainly much cheaper.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Not sure

Best Grande Lava bulbs (and hard to find)

Revain kept looking for 100w Reflector bulbs as recommended for the bulb. Nothing was found! Foil reflector lamps in my garage (my meat thermometer reads 425). Halogen 75 W didn't do anything. The 100 watt halogen created a large orange ball at the bottom but didn't move. The 150w halogen bulbs (double glazed glass) got enough heat to get things going but blew out after two months. Also I had to re-solder the bulb with 14 gauge wire as it was drawing too much current. Concentrate the heat they…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Good quality for bulbs

Just received the box of bulbs. So far, so good. Got these to replace my 27" lava lamp. They are slightly shorter than the original bulbs. However, the lamp works great with these bulbs. To be safe, I ran the lamp for 3 days in a row. These bulbs are better quality and cheaper than the one the lava lamp company sells as a replacement I will update this post when the first lamp goes out to check the lifespan.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

27 inch lava lamp Review

I have needed replacement bulbs for my 27 inch lava lamp and I have to say that I am mostly pleased with the results I am seeing so far. This bulb is the same wattage but has a slightly shorter neck than the bulb that was originally in the box. This makes my lamp seem to heat up/move a bit slower than the original lamp. Not a big difference and I actually like the effect a bit better than the original lamp. It is likely that over time the lifespan of the product will also increase. I would…

The Best Grande Lava Lamps (and Hard to Find)

I'm digging through lava lamps and there's a 27-inch lamp on my desk at work. as recommended for the lightbulb. Nothing found! I've tried halogens - knowing they glow I started with 75 watts and then went up. I'm crazy, I did a timing comparison of lightbulbs in aluminum foil wrapped reflectors in my garage (my meat thermometer read 425). A 75 W halogen lamp brought nothing. The 100w halogen bulb formed a large orange ball at the bottom but didn't move. The 150w halogen bulbs (double body…
