Best Grande Lava bulbs (and hard to find)

Revain kept looking for 100w Reflector bulbs as recommended for the bulb. Nothing was found! Foil reflector lamps in my garage (my meat thermometer reads 425). Halogen 75 W didn't do anything. The 100 watt halogen created a large orange ball at the bottom but didn't move. The 150w halogen bulbs (double glazed glass) got enough heat to get things going but blew out after two months. Also I had to re-solder the bulb with 14 gauge wire as it was drawing too much current. Concentrate the heat they generate upwards to keep your lava moving. They are locked inside so they will explode over time. You need an incandescent bulb with a reflector near the base of the bulb that will send all those 100 watts of warmth and beauty straight into your lava. After 6 months my old Revain "100 Watt Filament Spotlight" finally found THIS one! I think a lava lamp will do. Big enthusiasts are here to fix the search engine :) I just installed a new lightbulb this morning. She works like a champion: more agile and fascinating than ever, and she "wakes up" (from Ridley Scott's firstborn alien to an adorable microcosm) an hour earlier than before. This is what I was looking for and probably what you need for your big ol' lava. Love her.
