I bought 3 of these kits to light up the outdoor garden. I liked the colors and lighting modes, unfortunately the junction boxes that house the remote control receiver failed within the first 2 weeks. I replaced them with a spare battery as I had 3 sets but only one connection and it worked. again only for a month or two. Then the last additional connector was installed, which solved the problem again, but this also failed after a few months. Overall they looked great but didn't even last a year. It might have taken them 4 or 5 hours once or twice a week so they weren't overworked. I would recommend everyone to either use a waterproof junction box or store the plug under a cover if you want it to last a long time. Junction boxes are not waterproof.
