Informative and funny

I bought it for $13 which I think is a better price than $20. The cookie jar is plastic, about 7 inches high. The biscuit is a hollow plastic about 2 inches in diameter. The set is smaller than I expected, but that's okay because it fits easily in our toy kitchen. The cookies are numbered from 0 to 11 at the bottom and have the corresponding number of chocolate chips at the top. I don't like the fact that the cookie is hollow - it can actually be squeezed. I think the product would be of better quality if the cookies were hard. My 3 year old daughter loves this toy. It retains their attention for a long time. I like that it is both educational and entertaining. She knows numbers and loves to count, so this toy reinforces those principles. It also allows us to work on the concept of numbers being smaller or larger than other numbers. She immediately complained that there weren't enough chocolate chunks in the zero cookie and I explained what zero meant. Aside from the numbers, she enjoys taking cookies out of the jar and putting them back in, pretending to bake cookies in her toy kitchen, pretending to eat the cookies, and pretending to have the cookies stolen by the cookie bandit became. I love that such a simple product can inspire such imaginative play! Whether you want to teach your child numbers or just buy some toy fodder, I think this is a good choice.
