Cute toy! Got this for my 20 month old baby for Christmas because Fisher Price was sold out! He likes to put coins in his friend's house and it's a similar idea. feeding dinosaurs. He counts and recognizes color very clearly for his age, I think as he gets closer to two he will understand more in that aspect. He loves to pull the toy by the string. The songs are sweet until they get boring because there are so many of them. It's hard to get food in your mouth, you have to poke it pretty far back and push it through. But I have adult hands, it's not difficult for my son to do this. Ours made no mistake identifying the parts of the chip as some have pointed out. I like that all the parts are kept inside the dinosaur. I usually avoid toys with a lot of details because they disappear quickly, but in this case they mostly stayed in the stomach. I know VTech toys usually turn off after a while and this toy seems to be an exception? Sometimes it works, and other times I go back into the room and wonder why is this toy still singing? Just an observation, we haven't had it very long, maybe there's a button being pressed in the toy box or it just has a longer hold before shutting off. Still a great toy! Fits well within the suggested age range as usual with VTech. Lots of fun for little ones, from simple button presses to interactive educational toys.
