Review on πŸ”² Silverline 30mm Cork Sanding Block: A Fine Tool for Flawless Sanding Surfaces by Ryan Barton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cool plugs for power and hand tools

If you've used a cork sanding block before then I don't need to explain the advantages of one over multiple 'artificial' pads such as plastic or even rubber. If you've never used them before, you'll quickly realize how excellent they are when doing medium to extra fine sanding jobs by hand. I've been using them since my woodworking class at school; I didn't need help finding someone else when I lost my 40-year-old in a move. The only issue I've had in the US is that they're about as rare as pterodactyl bikes. So we are back in the UK where they are still available/obtainable/buyable. This product has it all; - The price, including *free* shipping, is excellent. so i ordered two. The estimated delivery time from the UK supplier was silly for the best reason: the package arrived in my letterbox weeks ahead of the earliest predicted date. than I used before. They were dense but still gentle enough to soften and prevent the surface I was sanding from "flaking" if I applied too much pressure. This block works the same way. But I'm not sure how coarse grit will help this block last as long as my previous one. Time will tell, but I'm optimistic and that's not a good reason to downgrade my rating. In any case, hand sanding is perfect for all my sanding jobs that require good control and results, so I recommend it. all my heart. I use it for everything from removing/shaping media (60 degrees) to prepping between coats of French Lacquer Extra Fine (400 degrees).
