I was really hoping I would switch from HP to Microsoft. I figured getting the best laptop in line would be faster and have longer battery life. First, the packaging feels a little flimsy and less durable. It's definitely lighter than the HP 360 Specter I had, but it comes at a price. My HP Specter was 10 years old, Intel i7, 512GB SSD and 8GB RAM and worked great, but after 10 years I thought I could use an upgrade. After tweaking, I noticed that even with 24GB of RAM, it seems to be a tad slower. So I tested it and found that HP boots 20 seconds faster on the home screen! I figured I could live with that if the battery lasted longer. Guess what? It's not like this. I have tested it 100% that I get about 3.75 hours of battery life before I have to plug it in. That seems crazy from what is being said! 10 years later, my HP matches the battery life. If you're buying a Surface for speed and battery life, try an AMD processor. To be honest, I'm still a bit skeptical. I am really disappointed.
