Fraud. Not new. fits traditional laptops

Very disappointed. Bought what I thought was a new laptop, has come in handy and the surface is LOCKED. This was not the new Surface 4 laptop that I paid for and expected. Refund sent, waiting for refund. I had to buy another one as it was going to be a gift.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Not as good as I hope.

This is a 4th generation Surface notebook. Good thing the battery is much better. But bad: --- Old version processor --- Screen frame is big --- Quality control is still bad --- Charging port is still strange

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • No instructions

Winner is Microsoft!

Bought for our grandson when he started college in August. For him it was an instant blow. In addition, Microsoft protected it with exceptional packaging that saved the laptop from damage caused by careless packing by the carrier. Every corner of the Microsoft box was dented or crushed. There was no protective coating at all to keep the laptop box from dangling in the flimsy shipping box. What an outstanding work by Microsoft. Fire your carrier. This company should be punished!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Battery life never exceeds 5 hours

I was really hoping I would switch from HP to Microsoft. I figured getting the best laptop in line would be faster and have longer battery life. First, the packaging feels a little flimsy and less durable. It's definitely lighter than the HP 360 Specter I had, but it comes at a price. My HP Specter was 10 years old, Intel i7, 512GB SSD and 8GB RAM and worked great, but after 10 years I thought I could use an upgrade. After tweaking, I noticed that even with 24GB of RAM, it seems to be a tad…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Okay, but shy of real greatness.

The 15-inch Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 is definitely a great laptop and a highly reliable alternative to other premium Windows-based laptops and the MacBook Pro. My current workhorse is the 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro, so let's compare them here, though there's certainly a price difference. 1.) The aluminum body is amazing. It's incredibly minimalist. If you think Apple is minimalist with its MacBook range, Microsoft is taking it to the next level. A solid black mass (in the case of this reviewer)
