Made of cheap plastic. Took my car to get new tires and the tech said the threads broke when he took them off. Threads are very brittle. I just had to buy a new set because of a broken one. I have one more now. If they all fail, I throw them out. I won't buy them again. Luckily, WalMart paid for a new pair as their business was going bad.
