I have a $130 car battery "Oreillys" in my car, it was replaced with junk 2 years ago which failed after 9 months of partial use as I usually start the car every 4 weeks - NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM WHEN USING BOSCH car batteries (made in Germany) - I will replace this junk battery with one of these if I find an Autozone in the future. So this charger was great - 8 weeks without using my car, the battery died! Although it took about 36 hours to 100% charge with AUTO CHARGING, only over a period of daytime use as we had FROST and only in FROST temps, I sent a cable through the window to the drive and powered it on. The battery was in the car. At first I was concerned that the increase was increasing in 20% increments and when it hit 40%, which seemed to take forever, it stayed there for 12 hours! then it crawled 60% and 80% faster and on the 3rd day I finally had a charge. it reached 100% and turned off automatically. The only BIG improvement I would like to see in this product is a more accurate reading on the PERCENT LOAD screen. I wasn't even sure what half the characters actually meant, even after reading the directions. A BRIGHTER RED LED or YELLOW LED IDEAL for the screen would be a huge improvement and will show a much more accurate "charging" reading. Recent reading why I give this 4 stars. because the item worked for what I wanted. I haven't tried other functions.
