These flaps work, but not without help and a little ingenuity. I used them to close the firebox lid on my offset smoker. Rubber feet do not have high heat resistance, will soften quickly and fall off at the first use. Second, they are very tight when opening and closing. I have to apply high temp oil to the hinge joints every time I use it so I can open and close them without undue force.
