Review on Women'S Chiffon Maxi Skirt - Full/Ankle Length Elastic Pleated Retro Style by Renee Johnson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

If you're 5'6 this will be ankle length. It's not crafted that well- uneven hemline

As a Bassist, I need clothing I can wear for concerts that look nice, are comfortable to play in, black and accomodate me sitting on a stool to play a large instrument. This fits the bill with some drawbacks.PROS:(1) It's light chiffon type fabric with three layers--- a see through outer, one that's shorter and then a very short knee high length slip beneath.(2) It has an elastic waist but it's still loose on me. I'm 120 pounds. It will do for wearing a blouse over it, but the elastic waist is rather ugly.CONS:(1) There are 4 seams/ panels that don't lay flat and it's hard to tell which is the front because the label seems to be in an odd place(2) The hem is long on one side and noticeably short on the other but the way it seems is that it just wasn't hemmed evenly.(3) It's longer than what's in this photo. It's sweeps the floor. I'm 5'5 and am 120 pounds.(4) In just the right light, I was able to see through all the way to the short layer beneath and a bit of my legs through that so the fabric is very very thin but should still not reveal anything crazy.UPDATE 12/12/15: I wore this for a concert I played and was surprised to get a lot of compliments on it even though the hem is quite uneven. Also it catches a lot of dust/ static due to the fabric, but it flows nicely and since I got compliments, I'll wear it again for another concert.

Pros
  • Free-flowing design perfect for dancing
Cons
  • May not be suitable for women who don't enjoy skirts with an ankle-length hemline
