This is my favorite USB flash drive form factor - no caps to lose, no sliding mechanisms to get stuck in pockets. The speed is decent. Straps are good - harder to lose, easier to find when slipping between sofa cushions. and twenty "recoverable write errors" that I reproduced using multiple USB controllers to ensure the problem was drive related and not computer related. I don't know the meaning of write errors - other utilities don't report them, but I haven't encountered it with branded drives. However, after running them through FDT, I formatted them all and booted into Windows. 10 chkdsk and since then no more problems. Flash Drive Tester records every bit, so don't worry about the malware you see on some cheap USB drives (assuming you have autoplay disabled). I use them as boot disks for utilities like Clonezilla, offline virus scanning, etc. I'm not sure I would use them to store important documents if I didn't have a backup due to initial errors. My only real complaint is that the darker colors almost completely cover the activity LED.
