I spent $400 to find the right piece to tame my speakers after installing an Outlaw x7000 amp. For some reason it makes all my speakers hum, i tried to connect all the cables and connection cords, there was no hiss when i only had emotiva basx 5, when i plugged in the outlaw amp everything started humming, i used a ferrite magnet for my RCA connection but it didn't work, i bought an AC isolator, after still not working i bought an IFI AC purifier after 2 days while waiting for it i saw this cable isolator, i read, that the xfinity cable makes noise which was confirmed when i pulled the ethernet out of the tv, ordered this cable isolator and came today with an IFI isolator, plug in the cable isolator and get my ethernet back, hallelujah the noise is gone for $13. I have never tried the IFI isolator, I will keep it in case I run into this problem again. Highly recommended.
