The umbrella itself is absolutely gorgeous when open. The image cannot be opened. Folded and strapped, you can carry it in a spacious medium-sized bag. (Also a big plus for me.) However (why it's not 5 stars) the opening/closing process leaves a lot to be desired. Manual opening should be simple and elegant. The posts that fold the top should fold easily in the correct direction. It is necessary for each frame to be controlled manually to open or close the umbrella. It's not hard, but it's an extra step anyway, which doesn't make the process smooth or elegant. If the struts move smoothly and easily shift in the appropriate direction, he would get 4.5.
