Looks good but awkward to install

First off, this fan looks great assembled and is pretty quiet. The bad part is its installation. It came with some of the worst ceiling fan installation instructions I have ever seen. The way you mount it, I wouldn't call it safe. It comes with a bracket like all other fans, but the preferred way of mounting is to screw it directly to the ceiling; The main thing is that it is wood or concrete. Unfortunately my house had a plasterboard ceiling like every other house I've ever lived in or heard of. Luckily we didn't roll over and throw away the old mount. Luckily the copper cap (after some cap mods) matched the old mount perfectly, as did the lower stem. Luckily, the triple remote receiver fit the original bracket, so we didn't use the one that came with the fan and didn't have to screw it directly into the drywall. If things didn't go so well, we installed our old fan again and packed it up for return. Also, be careful when connecting the receiver to the fan motor. We set everything up, turned it on and nothing. We heard the receiver click as if trying to do something. We removed the top cover and noticed that when the top connection was made, one of the contacts on the back was pushed out. After that was fixed, it started and works fine (so far). We managed, but not because of the instructions. The manufacturer needs to come up with a safer way to install this fan and some more detailed instructions and it will be a good fan.
