Review on SANSUI ES-24F1: Ultra Slim Ergonomic Monitor with 1920X1080P Resolution, 75Hz Refresh Rate, Adaptive Sync, Type-C Output, Headphone Jack, HDMI, and Built-In Speaker by Derek Tucker

Simple but effective

So I needed another monitor to install my MacBookPro. I have a CalDigit hub and LG monitor for photo editing. This monitor is great for expanding my desktop so I now have three workspaces: a laptop screen, an LG monitor and now Sansui. It was easy to daisy chain the Sansui with the LG and the system took to it well. The calibration out of the box was just great. I could get a VESA stand to rotate the monitor 90 degrees and use it for documents. This gives me more space on my desk to work. Unfortunately, the included stand is pretty lame. At least it lets you tilt the screen, but that's about it. For the price this is a great monitor. Please note that I have not tried the speaker as I use an external speaker system but my intuition tells me they will be very harsh. I would not use them as main speakers. I haven't tried any other ports either, but plan on using HDMI to connect an old Apple TV. It's nice to have flexibility.

Pros
  • 1920x1080 pixels
Cons
  • Low Brightness: If the monitor's brightness is set too low, the image may appear washed out or too dark.
