I was confused that the inch and millimeter readings I received were too far off. I was about to throw it out when I realized it was wrong exactly 2 times (or 1/2 depending on how you look at it). In other words, a 1 inch object is 0.5 inches in size. An object that is actually 50mm is 25mm in size. Still a lousy situation, but I'm just multiplying the readings by two. If there's a way to fix this, who knows - no instructions were included. But aside from some reviewers, at least I have a battery and a good case.
