Got this for a road trip we are planning. Using it with a Jeep Cherokee and needed some extra space to pack various items. I did a lot of research on line and while there are cheaper cargo carriers to be had I wanted something securely built. I liked the wide metal plates used to form the sides of the basket as these will provide better strength against torquing than smaller plates I see used on cheaper baskets. I got the folding unit and it was no problem at all for me to bolt it together. I did however purchase separately some red LED strips and a trailer wiring harness (total extra cost: $10) and added the LED strips as marker lights and additional turn signals for better visibility at night. We will let you know how the carrier does out on the open road soon!
