I often use infrared thermometers when making hot soap because they allow me to measure the temperature of the batch I'm making without having to lift the lid of the pot repeatedly. This nifty little teat is a life saver. I recorded the temperature accurately even after dropping it. I will order more in the future. A tip, the instructions are in very small print, so take the time to read them in the right light.
