Fixes a terrible vibration problem on my 2006 Honda Civic EX. A common problem on 8th Gen Civics (2006-2011): These passenger side engine mounts break/tear or sag, leaving insufficient clearance between the upper silver "lip" and the lower black piece of metal. I bought an aftermarket mount 2 years ago to replace my original mount but I still had a terrible vibration problem. I've tried replacing the belt tensioner tensioner, put in new OEM spark plugs, even went to the dealer to update the PCM/ECM software, nothing fixed the vibration. It turned out that the aftermarket mount was sagging and engine vibration was being transmitted through the car's frame. After installing this standard mount, the horrible shaking/vibration at low revs (1500-2000 rpm) and during a cold start went away. (silver) and lower (black) parts of the bracket. In Figures 1 and 2 there is virtually no backlash, allowing engine vibration to be transmitted from the cylinders through the vehicle's body/frame and felt at the steering wheel and driver's seat. The third photo shows how much clearance should be on a good mount.
