Review on LEPO Japanese Tempura Fryer: Non-Stick Stainless Steel, Thermometer, Lid And Oil Drainer, Perfect For Frying Fish, Shrimp, And French Fries! by Paula Brown

Good design, but a little awkward?

We don't do a lot of deep frying in our household because of how much oil is needed to do so. Having a smaller frying pot helps to alleviate this problem. The LEPO Fryer is small, compact, and is well thought out. The pot by itself (without the lid) already works well for frying, but add the lid and it really shines. It is important to keep an eye on the temperature of the oil and this lid has a hole dedicated to holding the included thermometer in place (note: the temperature scale on the thermometer is in Celsius). In addition, there is a door that flips open with a removable grill that allows one to drip dry the food, allowing the oil to drip back into the pot. From the picture, you can see that the flip door is a little small so if frying food in batches, it will not be enough to drip dry all of the food.Overall, this is a good design. The lid will help to keep splattering down and monitor temperature without opening the lid. The flip door is less useful, though.

Pros
  • 🍖Stainless Steel Deep Fryer: The deep pot is made of 304 stainless steel and is durable and has good heat insulation performance. It is very suitable for frying (French fries, chicken nuggets, squid, tempura, shrimp, peanuts, fish, etc).
Cons
  • The lid may be difficult to remove, which could lead to accidental burns
