I always buy the highest quality products but I have to pay for them. This filter evaluates 2cd best. It will not rust and will last thousands of miles with auto manufacturers scheduled maintenance. However, you are wasting your money as most auto manufacturers recommend an oil change every 7,500 miles while this filter is guaranteed for 20,000 miles or 1 year. I am buying this ONLY because I use Mobile 1 synthetic oil on my Honda Fit which is matched to this filter. Filters like FRAN are cheap, so be aware. Cheap filters rust internally and are made of inferior materials that can seep into the filter and oil flow. This can cause serious engine problems if it ever happens. You get what you pay for. The cheapest thing you can do to maintain your car is have a proper and scheduled oil change. So don't skimp on maintenance.
