Ever since my flagship product (Redkin Polish Up) was discontinued, I've been searching the market for the next best product that suits my hair. I have a men's haircut and I usually go to my barber every 2 weeks to fix my hair and also to "thin" my hair because it's thick. That being said, I've tried Crew and other Redkin products like wax lipstick and didn't like the hold or texture. After googling and reading some recommendations, I came across people who suggested trying Suavecito. The price is cheap compared to other products I buy which cost almost $20. I was a little reluctant to order because of the price, although the reviews seemed mostly good. We all know what some of these reviews are and you don't know if they're made up or something. I usually apply hair products when my hair is damp after a shower. This lipstick is exactly what I was looking for! Hold, texture and medium shine are what I was missing from the previous Redkin Polish Up I used. Why 4 stars with all the praise you say? Odor! This really applies to me and my sensitivity to smells, I have allergies year round and strong smells trigger my allergies and that's one of the smells. As a user you can smell it but nobody around you can, my wife literally had to stick her nose in my hair to smell it. I will continue to use the product as the benefits outweigh the disadvantages for me. Pros: Great hold, medium shine and good value Cons: Smell (may vary by person, it's not a bad smell but a strong smell for my tastes and allergies) If you like Redkin Polish Up this would be a great alternative.
