I am very happy with my choice for my use. The price is GREAT! I paid $22.88 for 12 candles and 1 remote including all batteries. The piece costs $1.76. I think it's a great price! Candles are the size of small votive candles, NOT tea lights. They are made of plastic. The "flames" part does NOT move, but you can choose two different flicker "patterns" that make them look like they're on fire. The board is very simple. On off. Adjustable at the push of a button to 2 o'clock, 4 o'clock, 6 o'clock or 8 o'clock. I tested for 2 hours, worked great. You can also regulate the brightness of the candles, also by pressing a button on the remote control. Simply turn the candles themselves to the "on" position and then control them with the remote control. They are great for places where there is no real flame. Even hard-to-reach places to light real candles. I bought them specifically over kitchen cabinets. With remote control, easy to turn on, easy to turn off! I love the atmosphere they create! That's exactly what I wanted! A small disadvantage is that they are not very attractive on their own. I prefer them in candle holders. There are 4 clear glass holders in one place I placed them, not as happy with the looks as the other holders they camouflage them a bit but at night who cares. I'll probably just decoupage the glass candle holders. personal preference. I can't comment on the battery life as I've only had it for a few days. I ordered a pack of 20 replacement batteries from Revain for less than $10, which is very reasonable, 40 cents a battery. I don't think you can go wrong with this if you're looking for flameless votive candles. Do they look just like the real ones, no. Do they look as good as the VERY expensive ones, no. But they certainly do the job and I'm very happy with my purchase!
