Purchased on a 2016 Victory Cross Country Direct Link. The adhesive holding the base and antenna together appears to be 3M and has a strong hold. I mounted it horizontally upside down in the bat fairing and ran across the bike. There are many cables that need a zipper. Reception is ok. Better than if I didn't install the antenna in the fenders due to the extra clearance (just the wire to the rear of the bike along the frame). However, it is not as good as the factory long whip antenna. It also appears to be directional, but that's probably because the metal frame in the fairing is blocking the rear signal. In the picture, the antenna is glued to the inside of the fairing top. Clean the surface with alcohol before sticking for better adhesion.
