Review on 🖥️ ASUS VS239H-P 1920X1080 Backlit Monitor, Full HD, 60Hz by Travis Mullins

First we need to look at my old monitor. It was great when it was like new. Samsung usually makes good monitors. However, I've started noticing a lot of lines while working for the past 6 weeks or so. I found out that this means the capacitor failed, but I also found online that capacitors are easy to fix. I'm fine, but I definitely don't want to be without a monitor. The Samsung monitor was similar to many of my previous purchases. I just bought everything on sale because I only needed one monitor; I haven't researched which monitors are better than others. So I did a little research before buying a new monitor this time. The Asus VS239H-P was highly praised. Of course, some consider it a budget ISP monitor, but now that I have it, I see that it's way ahead of the technology of older panel monitors. Basically, ISP delivers the best, and images are clearly visible from a variety of angles and regardless of lighting, with little to no distortion. The price was right too. Together with the RevainBasics 6.5 foot high speed HDMI/Ethernet cable and the state tax I had to pay, the total was about $170. The monitor comes with a three year warranty from Asus which I understand Asus offers exceptional customer support. Add to that the fact that the Asus VS239H-P is packed with the latest generation of technology and it's an absolute winner. I play a lot of games so I have to say that the haloing bothers me. Apparently, ghost appearances are common on some ISP monitors while gaming. This opens another topic. Calibration. I could talk endlessly about the Asus VS239H-P's Trace Free feature; that it virtually eliminates halos. However, I don't want to take a back seat. Trace-Free can be set when calibrating the monitor, but the factory setting of 60 is actually best. I want to share what settings I used. The only mode I don't recommend on this monitor is Standard mode. This is because you cannot adjust the saturation and skin tone in the default mode. So choose what suits you except this mode. I chose the game mode, although the settings are used for almost everything. Below are the settings I used. Game Mode Brightness: 35 Contrast: 73 Saturation: 58 Skin Tone: Natural Color Temp. Custom Mode Red: 100 Green: 100 Blue: 98Sharpness: 50Trace-Free: 60Aspect Ratio Control: FullASCR: ONECO Mode: OFF (Switching on makes brightness and contrast in the menu automatically gray and, at least for me, switching on ECO makes the screen too bright after all the work I've done to make it playable :). Moreover, the savings are negligible) With all this, the Asus VS239H-P has some drawbacks. Ergonomic settings are not very good. The outlets leave the cords sticking out straight, making installation difficult, although it can be done with the right adapters. It's also said that sRGB isn't as accurate as it could be, although really it should only matter to electronics geeks and not the average user. Some say the stand itself is wobbly, although I haven't found a problem with it. Directly in the instructions, the user is advised to place a soft cloth (I used a Costco microfiber cloth) between the stand and the surface intended for its use. As long as you don't put the monitor where people rub it, shaking shouldn't be a problem. Having calibrated the Asus VS239H-P I have to say that this is by far the best computer monitor I have ever owned. For me there are practically no cons. This is an amazing purchase!
