We bought this for my 8.5 year old daughter to lock up her bike at school and we love it! Unlike more complex combination locks, my daughter was able to successfully close and open this lock on the first try. I taught her to thread it through the frame and front wheel and she was riding - or shall we say, rolling. I did not use the included clip to secure the lock to the bike when not in use. . I just asked my daughter to wrap it around the steering wheel. I almost took off a star for having to turn the lock harder than I expected to reset the code the first time, but it was only the first time and now it's easy to install and reset. Excellent purchase!
