Review on Weaver Leather Livestock Goat Halter by John Milligan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for heavy goats

Admittedly, the lack of training of his large Nubian fallow deer was partly my fault. I should have taught her leadership better when she was younger. Now she's grown up and completely stubborn. She can knock me over and pull me along (I'm not a very tall person). No longer! I bought this halter hoping it would fit her large head and it does. When she put it on and I attached the leash, she immediately tried to run away. nope! By simply holding the leash in one hand, I was able to stop this nasty goat. The halter fits well, I wish there was a little more tail on the hook for adjustment but on the last hole it fits her. It can be difficult to hold onto the bottom ring when the target is moving. It looks like it will be strong enough to last at least a few years. I hate the color pink, but it will come in handy if she can take it off in the field - it can be found.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Useless functions
