First of all I rarely write product reviews but these glasses made me feel compelled. In short, if not dried quickly, the metal fittings around the lid will rust. That means they lose tension. Loss of tension means you can't get an airtight seal, which can ruin everything in the jar or, in my case, cause annoying leaks. So when you buy this product, be sure to hand dry the lids quickly. I thought this issue was minor until this morning. When I made cold coffee, the bottom of the glass just cracked. The water, coffee beans and glass were at room temperature. I don't know what else to attribute to the 64 ounces of coffee beans and water currently curdling in my kitchen other than the poor quality of the glass these jars are made of. The stainless steel lid combined with the poor quality of the jar leads me to believe this is just a poor product that I cannot recommend.
