I bought 2 for my girls just before the cold weather; one for the boxer mix and the other for the beagle mix. I bought both XXL Gray which fit perfectly! Coats are true to size however back measures 20 inches from collar; that's better than the advertised 18 inches. Easy on and off thanks to heavy-duty, extra-wide Velcro straps that allow for about 2-3 inches (more or less) of overlap for a perfect fit. The fleece is heavier, windproof, breathable and, while not waterproof, will keep out the rain for a short walk outside. It dries quickly. My boxer doesn't like the cold and comes to put his coat on. Dogs run very actively around the yard and the forest; Stay warm and comfortable without overheating. The wool is very well processed and does not fray even with rough play. The dogs' measurements were almost the same: back length 20 feet, chest girth 29 feet, chest width 9 inches, neck girth 18-20. The neck of one was 18-19 inches, the other 19-20 inches. The coat fits perfectly! Coat size stated neck 20.46", bust 29.92" correct except for the length. The length is actually 20 inches, not 8.11 inches, which made me very happy. Note: boxers tend to be thinner to allow for the wool to be pulled up and the beagle blend is slightly heavier in the center and can be made looser. I will be buying more as this was a great find. Very happy with this company.
