I wasn't at all sure if it would suit my needs but it's fantastic. I have a 90 gallon bottle with a red ear slider and a large canister filter. The external filter cleans the water well, but doesn't move the water enough at all. I got this "wave maker" to move the water and it made a huge difference in how my turtle feels; She suddenly became much more active! The magnetic mount really helps. I suspect I'll have to give it a regular jet of water to clean the mechanism, but it should be easy given the way it attaches to the storage tank it's in. Noise from adding these.
