I bought 2 pairs of these shorts and returned 1 because they are lower than expected. I went with the 7 inch inseam as that is the same inseam for my other running shorts (various brands). They measured 7 inches in inseam, but they were about an inch or two lower in the crotch than my other running shorts. I prefer my running shorts to be a little higher on the leg. I kept one of the pairs I bought because I really like the material they are made of and they were overall comfortable to walk in.
