Review on Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 225/65 R17 102S winter by Jnis vele ᠌

It was a reasonable purchase, I will order more.

I bought it for the first time after many years on spikes, in principle I am satisfied. I evaluate tires primarily by braking - the rest is not so critical. On damp pavement typical for Hong Kong and in slush / reagents, it slows down a little better than a spike, does not slip in corners. But on rolled snow, sprinkled with freshly fallen snow, it slows down noticeably worse than its studded predecessors, there is nothing for it to cling to when the tread is clogged, and there is a slippery coating under the wheel . In corners, it also carries slightly, but at the same speed, the studded one shifted. I haven't seen bare ice yet, and it's a rarity in Hong Kong. Noise is naturally less than an order of magnitude. I fell into a couple of unpleasant pits - without consequences. Conclusion - you can use it, but in snowfalls - be extremely careful, calculate maneuvers in advance and not drive.

Pros
  • Excellent brakes on wet roads and in slush/reagents.
Cons
  • On rolled and loose snow, braking for a C grade
