Mandatory for older Apple displays and/or non-Thunderbolt 3.
This works great, especially for Apple displays as only the latest Thunderbolt displays work with USB-C. Older Apple displays are locked at 60Hz, so this adapter is needed. While not perfect, it's solidly built, no issues with this adapter.
