My device died after about 2 hours of use. The transformer light is on, indicating power is coming to the unit from the wall outlet, but the unit's indicators are off and the drive will not spin. Before it died I connected 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives. They were easy to insert and rotate, and I was able to read/write discs in Windows 10 with no problems. I couldn't get my IDE drives to work. As mentioned, it's quite difficult to align the adjustable power connector on the bottom of the device. After many attempts I was able to mount the drive. I turned on the device and the drive rotated, but Windows 10 didn't recognize it. I also had another IDE drive but I couldn't connect it because the power slider on the unit has limited reach and my drive has very narrow data and power connectors (see image). I wanted to try to connect it to the device with cables, but then the device died. I returned this item and bought a non toaster dock with separate data and power ports which should make connection easier and more flexible.
