Review on πŸ”Š Degraw DIY Speaker Kit: PAM8403 5V Amplifier + 2Pcs 4 ohm, 3 watt Speakers – Arduino Compatible by Ana Ramos

Can't beat the price.

I use this as a treat dispenser to call my dog. Soldering was easy. As others have said the speakers come with a four pin connector (JST I think) and the pins are for the DuPont style. In other words, they don't connect. No big deal, I just hooked up some DuPont terminals. I was going to cut the cables anyway. My only complaint is a bunch of static. I mean it was unbearable. I just hooked it up to test and maybe it will get better when I assemble it. However, I have an extra core filter lying around, so I'll put it on for now. It completely eliminated static electricity. So if you have this problem, I recommend choosing it. BTW, and possibly a source of static electricity, I'm powering the Pi via GPIO with a 5V 8 amp power supply. This particular power supply is likely a source of static electricity, although it could be a cheap add-on module. The included aux seems lighter in terms of isolation. All in all, the price for such a project is unbeatable. Definitely adds volume. Obviously it's not HIFI, but that's to be expected.

Pros
  • Updated version, improved quality! Everything you need except a power supply to add sound to your project.
Cons
  • Useless functions
