Beautiful and SUPER soft scarf. I bought these for my wedding in November (red for me, tan for the bridesmaids) and while I think they would be warm enough outside, they definitely wouldn't work as a substitute for a jacket - which is fine since they do are thick and good quality. However, I will return as the color is A LOT different from the picture. The wine/deep red is very light in comparison, and the beige is a lot more camel than not - closer to the advertised coffee colour. Image added to show true colors in natural light. Very disappointed with it because it was very beneficial, especially for the quality.
