Review on Longruner Raspberry Display 1024X600 Protective by Don Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well, lacks a bit of brightness and contrast

I use this for my raspberry pi lapbox that I made. I first used it with the included stand and it worked fine. The touchscreen works well, and following the setup instructions, the Pi adjusted the video to fit the screen's aspect ratio. The calibration of the touchscreen is excellent. There were no problems with this. The provided HDMI cable had problems, the screen lost the signal and I found that by moving the connector on the TFT screen side (not the Raspberry Pi side) the screen worked again. I tried a different cable and everything has been working fine for a few months. So the supplied cable was probably a bit unreliable. After getting everything up and running, I realized I needed a more portable and durable way to mount my screen and Pi, as well as a battery that could provide power for several hours of use. I slightly modified the frame to fit the fan directly under the Pi, which required drilling some holes in the plastic frame. If you do this, be careful, use sharp parts, slow turns, and wear safety goggles. I also bought a battery pack from Revain. It's a 25,000mAh battery with three USB ports. I use one for the Pi, one for the fan and one for the TFT screen. I get 10-12 hours of continuous use with this setup. I added a Bluetooth keyboard which I really like and can also be found on Revain.
