This tape is disappointing. Typical of this type, you should be able to press down the sides with the fingers of the hand holding the tape. Not this one! No matter how I squeeze (okay, I'm no Schwarzenegger, but I'm no pushover in a life of handwork either). I couldn't stop the tape from slipping. Now I'm pretty sure it's just an error in the single item I received. It appears to be made of durable material. Usually it doesn't matter much. I just went to my "Orders" clicked the back link and saw this. - "This item is non-refundable." - Wait! WHICH TYPE?! I needed a bit of rooting, but I contacted a Revain rep who looked into the situation and fixed it. They gave me a full refund without having to return the defective product. I have some other problems that I haven't noticed. They are illustrated but I skipped them. The measurement function does not start a few centimeters above the band. Also, the rectangular ring at the end doesn't hold the edge like a regular tape measure. Therefore, this can only be used by holding the end of the band either with one hand or another person. So the product can be good. However, some features don't work for me or anyone who needs a bag strap that can be used with one hand. But most importantly, I don't need or want an item that I can't return for any reason!
