Yes, the balls are tiny. And they don't fit in ankle boots like in the photo, so this isn't the right photo to show the possible uses for this yarn. I have bought yarn candies before and they are smaller than expected. But the yarn is good and I would be happy with my purchase if I had the choice I chose. But the colors I received did not match the selection shown at all and I have carefully considered ordering an assortment with the colors I need for my project. If you don't mind receiving a random selection of colors and only small pieces of yarn for a small project, this is perfectly fine yarn and well packaged. However, if you need specific colors, please do not trust the images shown here.
