Review on Urban Cycling Apparel Tracker Mountain by Darth Naubert

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I believe they will work, but the material and fit aren't all you need - too bad I can't send them back

mech. Provoke buyers' remorse with these biker shorts. If I wasn't already sweating in them, they'd be on their way back to Revane. :(• First, like the other shorts I've bought from Urban Cycling Apparel, they are SMALLER than advertised. I went to size 36 and chose size XL, a bit nervous that they would be too loose (at a waist size of 36 -38).No, they were tight and didn't allow much room to move • Second, I didn't like the material - neither the soft bottom shorts nor the shorts themselves. Removable padded lining more like cheap clothes for and the top shorts gave me that Feeling like 80's skydiving pants but being shorts PLUS the Revain photos showed the fabric was matte but it was definitely NOT a matte finish they were downright shiny also the outer layer felt durable to the inner layer didn't look like it would last that long after a full season of commuting. The lining fabric was thin (correctly enough) and looked like an inadequate attempt, between the shorts and your skin to feed pockets were uncomfortable and didn't seem sensible to me, mainly because of the tight fit. I would have preferred a much looser short cargo style. I don't think I want to keep anything in my pockets just because the shorts are so tight. • Finally, the padding isn't that good, it's actually very thin. Compared to all my other biker shorts (big brand bike shorts I paid between $50 and $100 for) the padding was extremely soft and didn't offer much support or padding for the merchandise. If you ask me, you're much better off paying the extra $25-$50 for shorts that give you enough support and protection on long rides. As I said in my other review, I really hate posting bad reviews about products - but the moment I took them out of their plastic bags and even tried them on, I was overcome with buyer's regret. You may like them, but for me they were an out. They weren't "loose," the material and construction didn't look like they would last very long, and they just screamed like parachute pants.

Pros
  • ✔ SEAMLESS LOWER PANEL - The lower panel of the MTB shorts is a single one Panel to prevent friction while driving. All panels and pockets are double stitched for extra durability and sewn flat on the inside to prevent chafing.
Cons
  • without machine
