Review on Braces-Friendly Youth Mouth Guard for Sports - Basketball, Football, Sparring | Premium Quality, No Boiling Required | Teenager, Colorless by Richard Jarvis

Not recommended for braces

My son is 8 years old and wrestles. He has braces so a molded mouth guard is not an option. This mouthguard allows him to close his lips around it and provides good protection for the teeth and the inside of the lips. I didn't give it 5 stars because the first night he wore it to wrestling he ripped the wire off his suspenders. . I can't tell if it's the mouthguard itself or because he was chewing on it the whole time. The guard appears to be rubbing his braces with his teeth, but he makes matters worse by chewing on them. Update: After just a few days and 2 orthopedic visits, this is not a very good braces mouthguard. The wire falls off almost immediately. And the seller loves to buy reviews.
