Review on 🔑 Dorman 99164 Keyless Entry Transmitter: OE FIX for Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth Models by Aaron Franklin

Back of my instrument cluster for my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 because my truck didn't have factory keyless entry. If you do this you will need to take an extra step to put the truck in programming mode. Thanks to another Amazon reviewer for writing the guide because I almost gave up until I saw her review. But I turned the key without starting the truck. I plugged in the module and it emits 3 rapid beeps, then after about 5 seconds 5 rounds of 2 beeps. After that, I had to press and release the lock and unlock button for 10 seconds and then quickly press and release the panic button. The truck itself then beeped to let me know it was in programming mode. If the truck doesn't beep then it looks like it's not working because I had to do this a few times before the truck finally beeped and I knew it was in programming mode. You can now follow the instructions in the kit which says to press and hold the lock and unlock button for 3 seconds, then release and press the unlock button for 2 seconds. Wait 2 minutes and it should work. I guess I had to go through extra steps because my truck didn't come with keyless entry from the factory, but now it works like a charm and I'm incredibly happy!
